DauinJobs ("we," "us," or "our") is a free online job board operated in Dauin, Negros Oriental, Philippines. We connect local job seekers with employers in Dauin and nearby municipalities such as Zamboanguita, Siaton, and Bacong.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations. By using DauinJobs, you agree to the practices described here.

Job Seekers
- Full name, email address, and mobile number
- Barangay or municipality of residence (within or near Dauin)
- Skills, work experience, and any profile details you choose to share
- Application messages or cover letters sent to employers
- Profile photo (optional)
Employers
- Business or company name, contact name, email, and phone number
- Business address or barangay location
- Job listing details: title, description, salary range, required skills
- Billing and payment information (for paid listing upgrades, if applicable)
Automatically Collected
- IP address, browser type, and device type
- Pages visited and time spent on the platform
- Referring URLs and search queries used within the site
- Cookies and similar session identifiers (see Section 5)
03 How We Use Your Data
We use personal information only for the purposes described below:
- To operate the platform — creating and managing accounts, displaying job listings, and processing applications
- To connect job seekers and employers — sharing your application details with the employer you applied to
- To communicate with you — sending email or SMS notifications about your applications, new job matches, or account updates
- To improve the platform — analyzing usage patterns to fix bugs, improve features, and understand which local jobs are most in demand
- To prevent abuse — detecting and blocking fraudulent listings, spam, or scam activity
- Legal compliance — meeting obligations under Philippine law
04 Sharing of Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- With employers you apply to — when you submit an application, your profile and message are shared with that employer only.
- With job seekers (employer profiles) — employer names, business locations, and job details are publicly visible to job seekers on the platform.
- Service providers — we may share data with trusted third-party providers (e.g., email delivery, hosting) who are bound by data processing agreements.
- Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by Philippine law, court order, or government authority.
- Business transfer — if DauinJobs is acquired or merged, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction, and you will be notified.
05 Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used:
- Essential cookies — required for the platform to function (e.g., session authentication). Cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies — anonymous usage data to help us improve the site.
- Preference cookies — remember settings like your last search filters.

06 Data Retention
- Active accounts — we retain your data for as long as your account is active.
- Deleted accounts — personal data is removed within 30 days of deletion, except where retention is required by law.
- Expired job listings — retained for up to 12 months after expiry for analytics and dispute resolution, then deleted.
- Application records — retained for up to 6 months after the position closes.

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the following rights:
- Right to be informed — to know how your data is collected and used (this policy).
- Right of access — to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure — to request deletion of your data, subject to legal obligations.
- Right to object — to object to processing for direct marketing or other non-essential purposes.
- Right to data portability — to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to lodge a complaint — to file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph.

08 Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach affecting your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the National Privacy Commission within 72 hours as required by law.
09 Minors
DauinJobs is intended for users aged 15 years and above in compliance with Philippine labor and data privacy laws. Users aged 15–17 may register but must comply with applicable restrictions on types of work under RA 7610 and the Labor Code of the Philippines. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 15. If you believe a minor has registered without appropriate consent, please contact us immediately.
10 Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where changes are material, notify registered users by email. Your continued use of DauinJobs after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
